Dr Harry is absolutely amazing, I can’t recommend him enough. I had my usual skin maintenance treatments yesterday, and for the first time I decided to try a lip booster. Harry was so informative, knowledgeable, and reassuring throughout, and he made me feel completely at ease. I was originally offered standard lip filler, but as I’m in my 60s I wanted something more subtle and natural-looking, the lip booster felt like the perfect choice. I left the clinic with only a little swelling (nothing too bad at all) and my lips already look healthier, more youthful, and beautifully natural. I’m genuinely thrilled with the result and can’t thank him enough. Five-star-plus treatment every time. His prices are very reasonable, and his manner with patients is kind, professional, and wonderful. I’m already looking forward to my next appointment, even if I have to wait a few months because the results last so well. Thank you Dr. Harry ❤️

Dr. Harry is incredibly knowledgeable and really takes his time to talk you through everything, answer any questions, and ensure you’re comfortable throughout the whole appointment. I never felt rushed, and he explained the treatment and expected results clearly, which made me feel really confident in the process. I’m so pleased with my results and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

Great experience for an ultrasound-guided filler dissolution treatment. Dr Harry was very patient, caring and professional. I really appreciated the thorough consultation and felt well looked after throughout the treatment. Very happy with the results!

I visited Dr Harry after having my lips done by a few, other practitioners and my experience was positively incomparable. Harry was extremely thorough with his questioning, support and actual practice, I felt reassured and at ease, alike did my Mum, at the hands of Harry. I had 0.6ml of lip filler and was extremely impressed that he reevaluated my lips afterwards, adding in the remaining filler into specific areas. I did not have 1 single bruise, despite coming up black and blue in the past, and my lips are the most symmetrical they have ever looked. 1 million percent the best investment I have made to my face and I would never recommend going to anybody else! I visited the Chiswick clinic and it was beautiful🫶🏼 thank you Harry

I went to Dr Harry Clinic after both a recommendation and doing a lot of research, as this was my first anti-wrinkle injection treatment and choosing someone I truly trusted was really important to me. From the moment I arrived, Dr. Harry immediately made me feel at ease. He was so lovely, professional, and took the time to explain everything in detail. Most importantly, he really listened to what I wanted - especially my preference for a very natural look. Two weeks later, I had my complimentary follow-up appointment and I was already so happy with the results. At the follow-up, Harry was an absolute perfectionist, carefully assessing everything to ensure it was as balanced and natural as possible, with a small top-up where needed. Overall, my experience exceeded all expectations. If it’s your first time having treatment, or you’re looking for a new injector, I genuinely cannot recommend Dr Harry Clinic enough. One of the best decisions I’ve made.

Cheek volume loss

Cheek volume loss, shown on the face
Cheek volume loss, shown on the face
What it is
Flattening of the cheek and midface, where the contour that once caught the light sits lower and softer.
Why it happens
As we age the cheeks lose volume through fat pad displacement, bone remodelling and tissue change, leading to a flattened appearance that contributes to overall facial ageing.

Cheeks & Midface · concern 02

Nasolabial folds

Nasolabial folds, shown on the face
Nasolabial folds, shown on the face
What it is
Nasolabial folds, commonly called smile lines, are the creases that run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth.
Why it happens
Their formation involves volume loss in the cheeks, changes in skin elasticity and repeated facial expression, which is why treating the fold alone often misses the cause.

Marionette lines

Marionette lines, shown on the face
Marionette lines, shown on the face
What it is
Vertical lines running down from the corners of the mouth, which can give a sad or stern expression even when the face is at rest.
Why it happens
They form through volume loss in the lower face, changes in skin elasticity, gravitational effects and the natural ageing process.

Skin laxity and dehydration

Skin laxity and dehydration, shown on the face

What it is
Skin that has lost its bounce and glow rather than its volume, showing as dullness, dehydration and early laxity.
Why it happens
Skin boosters nourish the skin at a cellular level, promoting hydration, collagen stimulation and tissue regeneration, which is a different job from adding contour.

01Available Treatments

  • Dermal Fillers, Restore lost volume in the cheeks and folds using advanced hyaluronic acid products.

  • Anti-Wrinkle Injections, Soften expression lines and preserve dynamic movement.

  • Skin Boosters, Improve hydration, texture, and elasticity across the midface zone.

  • Combination Protocols, Tailored plans that integrate multiple modalities for full facial rejuvenation.

02Cheek Enhancement

Reinstating natural cheek volume is often the foundation of mid-face rejuvenation. As the cheek’s deep fat pads shrink and descend, the face loses its youthful projection.

Dr Harry’s approach involves replenishing volume strategically, restoring cheek shape, elevating lower facial structures, and creating a subtle lift without over-accentuation.

Treatments are performed with precision and awareness of ethnic and anatomical variation, ensuring results that blend seamlessly with your own facial features.

03Refining Cheek Contours

Beyond volume, cheek definition contributes to the perception of facial vitality. Carefully placed dermal filler can subtly enhance the cheekbone area, refining angles and improving facial symmetry.

This approach isn’t about sharp lines or artificial sculpting, but rather restoring the gentle lift and definition associated with youth.

04Nasolabial Fold Treatment

These folds, which run from the nose to the corners of the mouth, deepen as cheek volume diminishes and skin laxity increases. Simply injecting the folds can lead to an unnatural look.

Dr Harry’s method focuses on lifting and re-supporting the surrounding areas first. In some cases, minimal direct treatment is still used to soften deeper creases, but always in harmony with the whole midface.

This two-step process reduces heaviness and avoids the common mistake of overfilling the smile zone.

05Marionette Line Correction

Lines extending from the mouth corners downward can contribute to a tired or stern appearance. These often relate to midface volume loss and soft tissue descent.

By restoring volume in the cheeks and providing gentle support around the mouth, Dr Harry can elevate the corners and smooth surrounding skin, creating a lighter, more open expression.

06Mid-Face Skin Quality

Ageing also impacts the skin’s tone, texture, and elasticity. Even with volume restored, dull or dehydrated skin can compromise the result.

Skin boosters, particularly hyaluronic acid or polynucleotide-based, are used to hydrate and recondition the skin across the cheeks and nasolabial zone. These micro-injections work beneath the surface to improve glow, smoothness, and overall skin health.

Understanding Mid-Face Ageing

The mid-face area undergoes significant changes during the ageing process, with volume loss in the cheeks leading to flattening of facial contours and the development of nasolabial folds and other age-related changes. Understanding these complex ageing patterns is essential for effective treatment planning.

The mid-face contains multiple fat compartments that provide youthful fullness and support to facial structures. As these compartments lose volume and descend with age, the characteristic signs of mid-facial ageing become apparent, including flattened cheeks and deepened nasolabial folds.

Dr Harry’s expertise in mid-face treatments comes from his comprehensive understanding of facial anatomy and his experience as a trainer in aesthetic medicine. This knowledge ensures that treatments address the underlying causes of mid-facial ageing whilst creating natural, harmonious results.

Cheek and Mid-Face Treatments Insights

01Comprehensive Mid-Face Assessment

Treatment begins with a personalised facial analysis. Dr Harry assesses the balance between cheek projection, midface volume, and the prominence of nasolabial folds, ensuring that every correction enhances overall facial harmony.

This layered assessment includes:

  • Mapping volume loss across deep and superficial fat pads

  • Analysing nasolabial fold formation and its relationship to midface descent

  • Understanding skin quality and elasticity across the zone

Each plan is tailored to support your natural contours, avoid heaviness, and subtly enhance facial expression, not change it.

02Strategic Treatment Planning

Mid-face ageing rarely has a single cause, which is why single treatments often fall short. Dr Harry designs multi-layered plans that combine structural lift, contour refinement, and skin revitalisation for cohesive, natural results.

For many patients, subtle cheek enhancement alone can soften nasolabial folds, reducing the need for direct fold filler and avoiding overfilling around the mouth.

Mid-Face Skin Quality

Ageing also impacts the skin’s tone, texture, and elasticity. Even with volume restored, dull or dehydrated skin can compromise the result.

Skin boosters, particularly hyaluronic acid or polynucleotide-based, are used to hydrate and recondition the skin across the cheeks and nasolabial zone. These micro-injections work beneath the surface to improve glow, smoothness, and overall skin health.

Multi-Layered Rejuvenation Approach

The most natural mid-face results come from addressing structure, contour, and skin quality together.

By layering treatments, for example, cheek filler to lift, subtle nasolabial fold softening, and skin boosters to improve texture, Dr Harry ensures results that are balanced, fresh, and free from overcorrection.

Each protocol is designed based on your facial architecture, ageing stage, and aesthetic goals.

03Mid-face contour restoration for youthful facial structure

Volume is strategically restored to the cheek area using advanced dermal filler techniques, recreating the natural curves and support of youthful mid-face anatomy.

04Deep fold softening through volume redistribution and direct enhancement

Nasolabial folds and marionette lines are improved by first supporting the cheeks, then applying precise filler to areas of deeper creasing for natural, blended results.

05Subtle contouring to lift, define, and rebalance the mid-face

Filler is also used to enhance cheekbone projection and lateral mid-face volume, which lifts the lower face and softens expression shadows, avoiding heaviness.

06Comprehensive skin quality enhancement with integrated boosters

Skin boosters are used to improve texture, hydration, and tone across the mid-face, complementing structural improvements and promoting healthier, smoother skin.

07Maintenance & Longevity

  • Dermal fillers in the mid-face typically last 12 to 18 months depending on the product and area treated.

  • Anti-wrinkle injections may be repeated every 3 to 4 months for best results.

  • Skin boosters are often done in a series, with maintenance 2 to 3 times per year.

Dr Harry provides a personalised maintenance plan based on your response and goals, ensuring subtle, consistent enhancement over time without dramatic shifts.

Common questions

Mid-Face Rejuvenation FAQs

01What treatments are available for cheeks and nasolabial folds?

We offer advanced non-surgical treatments including dermal fillers for volume restoration and contouring, anti-wrinkle injections to soften expression lines, and skin boosters to improve overall skin quality.

02What causes deep nasolabial folds?

Nasolabial folds often deepen due to volume loss in the cheeks. As the mid-face loses support with age, gravity and repeated facial movements make the folds more pronounced. Treating the cheeks often reduces the appearance of these lines.

03Do I need filler in my cheeks or directly in the folds?

This depends on your individual facial structure. Dr Harry typically restores cheek volume first, which often improves nasolabial folds naturally. In some cases, a small amount of filler may be used directly in the folds for a smoother finish.

04Will cheek filler make my face look puffy or unnatural?

No. Dr Harry’s approach prioritises natural proportions and facial harmony. Cheek enhancement is performed conservatively and anatomically, aiming to restore youthful structure without creating excessive volume.

05How long do cheek fillers and nasolabial fold treatments last?

Cheek and nasolabial fold fillers typically last between 12 to 18 months depending on the product used, your metabolism, and lifestyle. Maintenance treatments are recommended to sustain results.

06Can these treatments lift sagging skin?

Yes, restoring cheek volume can create a subtle lifting effect that improves facial contours and reduces the appearance of sagging. This is often part of a full-face rejuvenation plan.

07Is there downtime after mid-face filler treatments?

Most patients experience minimal downtime. Mild swelling or bruising can occur but typically resolves within a few days. You can usually return to daily activities shortly after treatment.

08What’s the difference between skin boosters and dermal fillers in this area?

Dermal fillers restore volume and structure, while skin boosters improve skin texture, hydration, and elasticity. Dr Harry often combines both to enhance results and address multiple concerns simultaneously.

09Can I treat marionette lines at the same time as nasolabial folds?

Yes. In fact, treating both simultaneously often provides a more balanced result by improving the overall lower face contour and restoring a more positive facial expression.

10How do I know which mid-face treatment is right for me?

Dr Harry will perform a full facial analysis and develop a tailored treatment plan based on your anatomy, ageing patterns, and aesthetic goals. His expertise ensures optimal, natural-looking results.
